Description
Mail from AWS. I'm not aware of other usages of DataPipeline except for AB testing:
On April 28, 2021, AWS will deprecate the 'AWSDataPipelineRole' policy. The policy will continue to work for all currently attached users, groups, roles, and pipelines. If you have any automated workflows that attach the 'AWSDataPipelineRole' policy to a user, group, or a role, you will need to change the automated workflows to point to a new policy. A deprecated policy has the following characteristics:
- It continues to work for all currently attached users, groups, and roles.
- It cannot be attached to any new users, groups, or roles. If you detach it from a current entity, you cannot reattach it.
- After you detach it from all current entities, it is no longer visible and can no longer be used in any way.
- All your existing DataPipeline jobs will continue to execute after the deprecation. However, it is recommended that you create a new policy.
For more details on deprecated IAM policies, please refer to the 'Access Policies Managed Deprecation' guide [1].
Please refer to the 'IAM Roles for AWS Data Pipeline' Guide to learn how to create a new AWS Data Pipeline policy [2]. Before switching to the new policies, review the permissions and ensure they meet your requirements.
For more information, see 'Creating IAM policies' in the IAM User Guide [3].If you have any questions, please contact AWS Support [4].
