    Description

      Context

Since we have (most of the times) the vnc.log, we see better where the vncrecorder fails sometimes.

While on saas-E2E test-suites we generally have quite often videso embedded on ui-tests-failures, we also still have cases where there is no video produced or the embedded video is "all black".
In worst case, none video within full build - in that case - the recorder crashes likely early, or we still have an issue with the connection between the recorder and the TF.

      Error "unsupported encoding EncodingType"

So far the only error which I found in vnc.logs is the "unsupported encoding EncodingType", whether this shuts down the recorder or prevents the proper saving of the vid - idk.

      [ERROR] 2023/09/11 11:11:31 github.com/magnolia-cms/vncrecorder/vnc/recorder.(*Recording).updateVncFrames:recorder.go:114 Recording for /recordings/subscription-and-git-repo_Subscription-has-linked-git-repo-comes-with-env-main.mp4 failed. Reason: unsupported encoding EncodingType(483329)

      Task

Since the above mentioned error is the only one we see in log-file - let's try to figure why it fails, fixing the issue - and hoping that getting rid of this error increases the stability of the vncrecorder.
      :¯_(ツ)_/¯:
