Description
Dear Partners, The Commerce Cloud On-Demand Sandboxes for Salesforce partners are moving to a new cluster. Those sandboxes are currently running in cluster US01 (as reflected in the sandbox URL). After the move, they will be running in cluster US03. All sandbox functions will remain the same. This move will reduce the number of sandboxes running on each cluster, balance the demand and resources, and enhance the stability of the sandboxes. It will also allow for providing services tailored for partners.h3. When:The move of the sandboxes will take place in the weekend of October 22-24, 2021, starting at 1:00 PM US Eastern time on October 22. This move will impact all Salesforce partners using the On-Demand Sandboxes.h3. Actions to take: * Sandboxes will be moved by Salesforce engineering team. Although sandbox owners do not need to take action during the move, it is advised that sandbox owners backup their sandbox data prior to the move
- Sandboxes will not be accessible during the move. Please plan your work accordingly
- After the sandboxes are moved, users will need to update their Account Manager configurations to use the Sandbox API:
- In the API Client you use to manage sandbox using the Swagger UI, update the redirect URL from https://1.appexchange.com/e/902521/oauth2-redirect-html/5h1y8/175094665?h=NAqP5fkOQO-ZMhcRNmBD7Joy_GONyENw8uubXGP24nM to https://1.appexchange.com/e/902521/2021-10-18/5h1yd/175094665?h=NAqP5fkOQO-ZMhcRNmBD7Joy_GONyENw8uubXGP24nM*us03*.dx.commercecloud.salesforce.com/oauth2-redirect.html
- API server for managing sandboxes will become https://1.appexchange.com/e/902521/2021-10-18/5h1yd/175094665?h=NAqP5fkOQO-ZMhcRNmBD7Joy_GONyENw8uubXGP24nM*us03*.dx.commercecloud.salesforce.com/
- If you manage sandboxes using the sfcc-ci CLI, you will also need to update the host with the new cluster us03 by setting the reserved environment variable SFCC_SANDBOX_API_HOST (this is a recommendation in the sfcc-ci repo):
- export SFCC_SANDBOX_API_HOST=admin.us03.dx.commercecloud.salesforce.com
- Access URL for sandboxes and OCAPI will need to be updated as well. For example, if the old sandbox URL is https://1.appexchange.com/e/902521/dware-store-Sites-Site-default/5h1yn/175094665?h=NAqP5fkOQO-ZMhcRNmBD7Joy_GONyENw8uubXGP24nM, the same sandbox in us03 can be accessed with the new URL https://1.appexchange.com/e/902521/dware-store-Sites-Site-default/5h1yq/175094665?h=NAqP5fkOQO-ZMhcRNmBD7Joy_GONyENw8uubXGP24nM
- In Account Manager, the Salesforce Commerce API role inside the API client used for Commerce API access should be updated to point to US03 ODSs:
- Please note that if there are services (such as Salesforce Order Management) that are registered or linked by the sandbox hostname/URL, those services will need to be reconfigured with the new sandbox hostname/URL.
Help & Support:If you have trouble accessing your sandbox or API server, please make sure you have updated the configuration in Account Manager and you are using the updated URL as instructed above. If the problem persists, you can request help in one of the two ways
- Post your question in the partners’ community for On-Demand-Sandboxes (please join if you are not a member)

- Select B2C Admin & Operations as subtopic
