Currently custom markup elements cannot be added to the interface well. Either you have a:

• Text block, which does allow for basic formatting, but the formatting toolbar isn't extensible, so we can't add additional markup possibilities to it
• Custom block, which allows for setting alternative markup with selection fields, but the text field is in that case a normal input field which doesn't allow for basic formatting

We need some sort of combination that allows for basic and some advanced text formatting
