Frequently we get support requests related to Google Sitemap module because this module doesn't cover some common sites configuration/structure.

Google Sitemap module has a very specific functionality and it is not meant to be used for complex sites. SOLR should be used instead when the Google Sitemap module does not fulfill the needed requirements.

It would be good to add a note in the documentation to prevent users to use this module depending on the characteristics of their site. had may give you more details about this.
