if i have a dialog with an FCKEdit control on and i try to 'save' the dialog without filling in all the required fields , i get the usual message 'field XYZ is required', but then the formatting on the FCKEdit control gets messed up. the FCKEdit is always on a separate tab.

basically <br /> tags are added between each line.

this obviously means we cannot trust dialogs at the moment as users cannot always be trusted to go back and re-edit their reformatted content.
