is probably a remnant from splitting main project and mail module for Magnolia 5 and overrides dependency specified by MGNLMAIL-63.
edit: note that this only affects dependency management. magnolia_main itself did NOT depend on javax.mail (at least not 5.4), but by using scope:import of main, one could easily end up with 1.4.1 instead of the version they need.
