Description
User Story
As a developer, I want to transform links in incoming content from an external source, so that I can connect to a wider variety of content sources with configuration alone.
REST APIs often return linked content either inline, or as additional "documents" appended to the main response. It should be possible to map that content into a content-type as well so that it can be displayed.
Resource: REST Response Examples
Acceptance Criteria:
- I can access "linked" or "expanded" content which is provided by the remote endpoint in a separate location in the response.
- (In the manner that contentful provides. See: Competitor Research - REST OOTB#RESTOOTB-Links)
- (Also see JSONAPI: ResourceLinkage: https://jsonapi.org/format/#document-resource-object-linkage)
- Ideally the same mapping configuration can be reused for reading and writing operations. (Rather than having to configure two mappings.)
- Works with light development.
