The second thing what is a bit weird is that I testet it with our subpage template from the demo project. I am not sure why but opening up the edit mode of the page after creating a fresh one fails with a lot of freemarker errors around makros. Is there any difference in the render process?

I switched then to the mtk2:pages/basic page template and this one works perfectly
