Currently, the overall search experience (SearchX) is perceived as slow by editors and marketers who want to find relevant content fast. It also returns a limited range of results which slows down your ability to quickly find the content you are looking for.
We will look at Usability and bring in a more intuitive workflow that will enable editors to find and manage relevant content in a seamless and efficient way.

As an author working with big data set, when I do not exactly where the item is located; I want to find relevant content across Magnolia fast
- Distinguish the Global Search, across all apps, from the In-App search with a visual overlay
- Display results based on Relevancy by default and provide additional sorting options
- Give more visibility to Filtering and Sorting options for the Global Search
Overarching improvements of SearchX
- Seamless results if you search in Global vs In-App
- Improved information hierarchy, legibility, and other usability enhancements when showing results
- Provide meaningful and seamless information in the tables' columns for consistency
- "Go back where I left" Ability to go back to my search results, rather than starting from scratch
- Display path/URL to help identify the right item
