As a page editor I should be able to rearrange pages variants within a set. For example, let's say I create a page variant for the European Region. Then later I have a requirement to target a certain country within Europe with another variant, say Switzerland. Since Switzerland is within Europe in needs to be ordered before Europe.
In the Pages app you cannot rearrange variants or move them at all. The workaround is to move them in the JCR Browser.
