It is possible to configure "reference resolvers" for the REST delivery endpoint such that for a property which stores a reference to an item in a JCR workspace, it will return a link url.

However richText fields (ckeditor) can also contain JCR item references, and it should be possible to have those references converted to link url's as well, but this is not yet supported.
