Cannot delete a selection of multiple items.

To reproduce:

1. Open the Configuration app.
2. Go to for example /modules.
3. Create three items (folders or content nodes).
4. Select all three items and click Delete.
   Only the last item in the selection is deleted.
5. The system automatically includes automatically the parent item in the selection.
   This should not happen. It don't want to delete the parent. I never selected it.
6. Unselect the parent and leave the remaining two items selected. Click Delete.
   System throws error "Could not get item".
