A newly added item should be selected and visible

      Any newly added or created item should always be selected and it should be in view. Any previously selected item in the same list or tree should get deselected at the same time.

      Currently, newly added items are neither visible nor selected (see attachments), which first and foremost means I don't get a visual confirmation that the add operation was actually successful. Any previously selected item such as a folder remains selected. This also means I can't immediately continue working with the item and have to go hunting for it.
