When having long lists of pages only a part of them is displayed at the same time (paging). Therefore you cannot use the search function of the browser to search for items.
In this case, Magnolia search doesn't help either because it's searching all pages in the system and normally the result is an even longer list (which also can be searched only by scrolling).
Real world example:
On the root level there are 500 folders, which contain the websites of university institutes. For sysadmins this list is the entry point for the work with the single websites (if they can find them).
Proposed possible solutions:
- Extend search with an option to only search the current level / the potentially visible items.
- Optional: No paging: The whole list will be loaded and searchable with the browser search.
