We've partially implemented already for the security app (see MGNLUI-3326 and MGNLUI-3543) in 5.4.2. However, tree sorting is a much requested feature that should be available in all trees. The challenge is to provide a clear way to a return to the manual ordering of nodes. A manual sort order may be used to rearrange items in navigation menus or, in general, to order the page tree in any way a customer may want.

The UX concept page on sorting trees describes the usage of a popup for picking any sort criteria and order. We'd like to offer this in all apps.
