If I multi-select item in one view, these items remain selected and are moved into view, if I switch to another view. There's one exception, though: if I e.g. select three items in either the list or the tree view, then switch to the thumbs view, only a single item is shown as being selected. Note that this only affects what is shown: all three items remain selected.

The reverse works: if I multi-select items in the thumbs view (by Command+clicking on them on the Mac), those items are shown and actually remain selected when I switch to another view.
