Steps to reproduce

1. Go to assets application
2. Select an item in tree or list view
3. Switch to thumbnail view (note that selected item is the same as the one from tree/list view)
4. Switch back to tree/list view
5. Select another item
6. Switch to thumbnail view again

Expected results

• Item from step 5 is selected

Actual results

• Item from step 2 is selected (item selection does not update)
