Null value causes error

Steps to reproduce

1. Install dam focal with samples
2.  Go to assets app and remove /dam-focal-demo/kitchen.jpg
3. Go to pages app and open /dam-focal-point/jpg

Expected results

Null control checks if the node is null to return a not found status, there's no exception

Actual results

There is a server error
