We would like to have the ability to customize the look and feel of a dialog via HTML, CSS, and image rendering.
This ability would allow us to improve the initial editor experience for any component. We would like to customize the first tab of any component dialog to show a brief user guide to the editor with an image showing what the component might look like, present several possible use cases, possible step by step instructions and some global component configuration options.
This gives the editor a visual of the component they selected from "NEW MAIN COMPONENT" selector. Otherwise the first time they see what the component actual looks like is after they've filled out the dialog and clicked Save. At which point they might realize they picked the wrong one and have to delete it.
It would also be nice to have some basic instructions exactly where editors need it, rather than referring them to external guides. We realize the static field does some of this but an image and visual customization would improve the feature.
