 Description

Current behaviour

At the moment, as per Mgnl standard behaviour (ABTEST-234) when I press on the Save button in the dialog, the dialog closes down.

Desired behaviour

  • Change button label from 'Save changes' to: Save & close
  • Move the 'Save & close' button to the right, next to the 'Start test' button

For a real guided process we would have to disable the tabs after the one you're currently editing. We currently don't have that type of UI component.

For the time being i would propose:

  • on save, don't close the dialog
  • give a quick confirmation popup that you have saved successfully

To close the dialog the user needs to actively click the close button in the tab.

  • we already have a lot of green buttons in the footer, it's getting overloaded > i wouldn't add 2 separate buttons for "Save" and "Save & close"
  • if pressing "Save" always takes you to the next step, we have to say that on the button label e.g. "Save & Next" but maybe that's not always the desired behavior
  • i propose just simply "Save" with a confirmation "Saved successfully", then the user clicks next tab or any other tab to continue or clicks the close icon to close the tab - i know it's 2 clicks but i still think it's the best way
