 Description

Editing multi value properties via configuration app causes an exception. JCR-app can handle this so should be possible from configuration app as well.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think for the long term our goal is to move to configuration by file and eventually retire this app.

Hey ssaarinen,

I agree with Rich, I don't except the team who owns this app to tackle this:

  • developers prefer YAML configuration nowadays although there are still some parts with JCR config only (/server, commands)
  • as you said, one can use the JCR browser app, even change its default workspace to config for convenience (or create a copy of the app)
  • configuration usually doesn't contain multi value properties as it's harder to edit even if possible compared to multiple properties

Hope that helps.

Roman

Sounds reasonable and I have come to the same conclusion to not use multi valued properties in the first place as they seem like an after thought anyways and the API is also cumbersome even by JCR-API "standards"
