At this time there is no way to programmatically validate dimension and metric. There is also no way to programmatically validate the query without just sending it to google and see if it works or not.

Google introduce https://ga-dev-tools.appspot.com/dimensions-metrics-explorer/ for user to manually check if dimension and metric can be suited, but google don't provide the rules for us to follow.
