 Description

After uninstalling Blossom I get the following error when I create a new paragraph (e.g. Text and Image):

11-03-07 12:44:16 ERROR AUTHOR[TP-Processor16]info.magnolia.module.admininterface.DialogMVCServlet: no dialog registered for name: editParagraph
info.magnolia.module.admininterface.InvalidDialogHandlerException: No dialog handler for [editParagraph] found
        at info.magnolia.module.admininterface.DialogHandlerManager.getDialogHandler(DialogHandlerManager.java:147)

See attachments for the complete stacktrace.

Hi Sven,

Can you elaborate on how you uninstalled Blossom? Did you remove the jar file and the configuration node at /modules/blossom ? A restart after that would probably also help.

If you did all that, then indeed we have a problem Let us know.

Yes, I deleted /modules/blossom, removed the jar file and restarted the server. I can reproduce this with magnolia 4.1.1

Hmm, this looks like it could be a bug in BlossomVersionHandler. Did you upgrade from previous versions of Blossom, to 1.2.2 ? Or was this your first install ?
Either way - have a look at /modules/adminInterface/dialogs/editParagraph/class in the config. It probably points to a Blossom-specific class. Change the value of this property back to info.magnolia.module.admininterface.dialogs.ParagraphEditDialog and it should work.

Before doing so, could you confirm that - somewhere during startup - there is a (perhaps too discreet) WARN log that says something about this blossom class being missing, or the editParagraph dialog being misconfigured ?

Hi Sven,

Gregory's analysis is correct. When you uninstall blossom you need to reset the ParagraphEditDialog back to the default one.

Change
/modules/adminInterface/dialogs/editParagraph/class
to
info.magnolia.module.admininterface.dialogs.ParagraphEditDialog

Thanks for reporting this, I will add it to the uninstall instructions in the documentation.
