CC mmichel and ilgun During QA it was noticed that dx-core-webapp war passed from ~345 MB to ~398 MB. Trying to figure out why and whether we can exclude some libs transitively pulled in.

Reopened during 6.2.2 QA as we noticed the warnings below. Investigation ongoing.

The warnings weren't visible to all people testing this on different set ups. Apparently a combination of Tomcat and Mac OS version may be the cause for that.
In particular, it seems that the warnings are displayed consistently on
Mac OS Mojave + Tomcat 9.0.31.
They do not show up on Mac OS Catalina + Tomcat 9.0.35.

At any rate, what matters most is that, functionality-wise, those warnings seem to have no impact at all.

Reopened again since another issue with Windows was found during final QA (more details in slack https://magnolia-cms.slack.com/archives/CDF00BHMH/p1594730614016000). Let's postpone this after 6.2.2.

I tested dx-core 6.2.2-SNAPSHOT without the errors on the environment:

  • Windows 10 Home version 1903, OS build 18362.657
  • Apache-tomcat-9.0.31
  • OpenJDK version "11" 2018-09-25, Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11+28), 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11+28, mixed mode)

No issues on dx-core 6.2.5-SNAPSHOT + Mac OS Mojave + Tomcat 9.0.39 + OpenJDK 14.0.2 64-Bit Server VM AdoptOpenJDK (build 14.0.2+12, mixed mode, sharing)

Regarding the warning sometimes displayed on some environment java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jnijavacpp in java.library.path, see https://github.com/bytedeco/javacv/issues/1402
