Following up BUILD-866 we realized that the username that we get in audit log records via Jira's REST API comes in two formats. Either the LDAP name, which is good and clear enough to all. But also in the form of a JIRAUSERXXXXXX ID. That name makes it hard to trace back a change to an actual person, as a matter of fact that's impossible for somebody who doesn't have admin permissions on Jira.
We assumed this might be a rare configuration issue but in the end I've just figured out that we can use a 2nd endpoint:
To get the developer's nice name, e.g. Javier Benito or Maxime Michel. We should do this.
