To enable users to see minor problems that are not related to deprecations, and to increase awareness of deprecations to the users - add a new level "Deprecated" between "Major" and "Minor" in the Minimum severity level dropdown. Report deprecations at the new Deprecated level. "Minor" level should be the default. If the user chooses "Deprecated" then they will see Severe and Major problems and deprecations. Menu levels:

This makes no sense in my opinion. I'd expect to see only deprecated, "Severe and Major" are not a subset of deprecation level.

Deprecation level has no icon so it's not aligned with another levels. |

rkovarik agree that severe and major is kind of wierd to show in this spectrum. The idea was that one would fix your severe and major problems first. But it would also be strange to have it only show deprecated - based on the current ui. Maybe the label could be changed to "Deprecated Only". Lets see if avongunten has suggestions for UI improvement. I welcome other suggestions. |
