 Description

Content blocks within the story (not the outline) can be deleted at any time. There are different ways to delete a block.

PLEASE NOTE: Although the mockups appear in a new visual design please ignore the styling. Only focus on mechanics & functionality!

Rollover a block and delete

1. If rollover a block, the border of the block (focus) and the "Delete" icon will appear in the right top corner.

2. Move mouse to the "Delete" icon and click. The block will be deleted.

Focus a block, then delete it

1. If stop editing a block by pressing "esc" or clicking outside any editable area within the block, the border of the block (focus) and the "Delete" icon will appear in the right top corner.

2. Press "Delete" on the keyboard or click the "Delete" icon. The block will be deleted.

Text blocks can also be deleted while edited

1. If a text block is currently edited, i.e. the cursor is currently inside an editable area of that block, the "Delete" icon is also visible.

2. Press "Delete" on the keyboard or click the "Delete" icon. The block will be deleted.

apchelintcev pmundt creichenbach We discussed today that we're going to skip the "rollover/hover a block and delete" part of this story, as it leads to inconsistencies, when you're currently editing a block: would you just save the edit or leave the block in edit mode?

So, to keep things simple, consistent and safe in a first implementation, you can only delete a block, if you focus it (first), then click on "x". You cannot: a) delete it while you edit it or b) delete a block while you edit another block.
