 Description

Currently, if you select HTML on a web page or select a formatted text in a word processor, then copy that text into a text block, most of the formatting in the pasted text is preserved - including header sizes, elements such as vertical lines, and font colors and formatting.

This is not what we want, as:

  • we aim for only basic formatting in text blocks
  • there will be no way to "clean up" a text block or "remove HTML" that someone sneaked in.

Goals

  • if I paste text from the browser or the system clipboard into a text block, all formatting is removed (even lists, strong and emphasized text): we're looking for a raw paste currently.
