 Description

Expected behavior:
When I add a new tag to content on the Author instance and then publish that content, I expect the new tag to be published along with the content. On the public instance, a new entry should be created in the Tags app for the new tag (if the tag did not already exist).

Current behavior:
When I create a new content and assign a new tag to it and then publish the content, the tag does not appear in the tags app on the public instance. The app remains empty. However, the tags are still assigned to the respective content on the public instance (checked in the JCR Browser app).
On the author instance everything seems to work as intended (except for the publishing). If you create a tag in a content on the author instance, it will be automatically added to the tags app on the author instance.
The tags can be published from the JCR browser app without any problems and will end up correctly on the public instance.
If you add publishing actions to the tags app (for testing purposes), the tags can also be published directly from the tags app without any problems.

Hello,

facing this exact issue. Any idea how/when this might be fixed?
Problem is: although the tags on the respective item are published, this does not help in my case, as i have a search logic for tags (which would work), but: my query works in a way that i check for each search term if the term is a tag, and only if so i get the items which have the tag entry set. Of course i could remove this until this item is fixed, but that might not be ideal. And for an author that edits content in apps it's certainly not a practical way to use the JCR to publish tags.

Thanks and cheers

Christoph

Hi chrisD thanks for the comment and explanation of your use case. This ticket unfortunately is not in our priorities atm; I see that you have added yourself as a Watcher already which will help monitor its progress
