 Description

Provide a comparison of the 2 approaches to create templates (and similar things) with

  • light development approach
  • the old school approach storing definition items in the JCR configuration

We have some materials showing what you can do (even mentioning a few points what you can not do) with light development - see https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS56/Light+development+in+Magnolia and linked pages.
But we lack a proper comparison showing both approaches with all its consequences, pros and cons.

Such a page would help prospects and customers to decide for the technology approach when they develop their Magnolia project.
