 Description

The first screen users see when they log into Magnolia 6.0 will be the find bar+suggestions.

Currently, some doc pages, typically tutorials and procedures, say things like:

"The App launcher is displayed"

"The App launcher is the first page you see when you log into Magnolia. "

This is no longer the case. Search for these occurrences and rewrite.

Asked Anja to look into the App themes page and tell me what is still valid or not. Otherwise finished with this ticket. Various updates across the doc.  Created two related tickets (see links).

Integrated feedback from Anja/Rasmus.

Outstanding question about app themes: if you want to use a custom icon font (allowed) do you need to create a custom vaadin theme?

  • If the answer is yes, the page has to stay and maybe be edited to say that the custom vaadin theme is only to be used for custom icons.
  • If the answer is no, the whole app themes page contains little useful content and can be entirely removed.

Affects App theme, Icons (last section) and App descriptor (theme property) pages.

App themes page moved to Incubator. Section about custom icon fonts hidden in Icons page. See DOCU-1777 for follow up task.
