 Description

A user requested how to assign a new site definition to a new site in the forum thread http://forum.magnolia-cms.com/forum/thread.html?threadId=07bcd5af-2f7e-40de-8f72-c381f22ca9b5&page=1. The entire answer is the compilation of two separate responses. Combining the responses into one complete use case would make it easier for users to find and follow.

I agree that this procedure is missing from documentation but why should it be a separate use case? It's a common task. Everybody needs to do it in order to have a functioning Magnolia site. I don't see how it is "specific use for Magnolia" as defined in Use cases.

I think we should simply add the procedure where site definitions are discussed: Creating a site > Site definition in proposed new structure.

Per the organization proposed at Use Cases Organization, this would be under Site Design > Site Structure. There would then be use cases under Site Design > Themes and Site Design > Page Layout that would include adding themes and templates to the site definition, respectively.

Added explanation of goal for use case structure on wiki. The site definition handles various aspects for creating a site. This organization allows all of the steps of an aspect to be organized together. For instance, the use case for creating a theme can be included under Site Design > Themes (Themes is an aspect) and would include adding theme to a site definition.

Site Structure is another aspect but in this case it didn't seem like assigning a site definition to a site fit into another use case but is important enough to include. It could be that another aspect is needed under Site design>
