 Description

As discussed, most of our Magnolia 6.2 tutorials will be made available to the Magnolia Academy to use as they see fit, with the DOCS keeping only:

For which we have enough resources and time for each major release (see also https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCU/Post+release+tasks)

We are keeping the copies in the team space just in case:

TUTORIALS

Tasks

1) Fix the dead links in the copies.

2) Notify the Academy, execute the handover.

3) Once the handover has been confirmed:

  • Check the incoming links for each tutorial page.
  • Fix the broken incoming links and affected link text.
  • Carefully delete the tutorial pages from DOCS62, one by one.

Fixed all dead links and resolved all hide blocks in DOCS62 originals and DOCU copies. Handed the following DOCS62 tutorials over to cweber:

Once all tutorials are copied over to the Academy, I'll proceed with task 3.

Hi akhamis, A number of the topics are already part of the Website/Front-end training but the rest are still WIP. Is it possible to keep this ticket open? Or have them altogether in Archive? We will go through the list as we go. Thanks, Cass

cweber, thanks for looking into this. In this case, I think it would be best if I assigned the ticket to you. You can just update me here once you're done.

Yes please akhamis! Thank you!

Tobias K has told doc team that these pages:
https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS62/Creating+a+custom+webapp+with+Maven
https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS62/Creating+a+minimal+webapp+with+Maven
https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS62/Creating+a+DX+Core+webapp+with+Maven
are popular with partners.
cwebermaybe these should be prioritized in terms of publication in the academy and support should be informed of their location once they're available. For the time being, the pages are still published in docs.

Hi jlegendre, I'll check within the team. So far we are still targeting on getting REST, Content types/apps in there. And then, Headless, Updates in Magnolia. So I am not sure if we can push this forward earlier. But I will address it. Also, I must already go through the list Ashraf has above. I'll book in next week for this! Thanks, Cass

Hi jlegendre, We had a go through the list and below are our comments:

Copy of Magnolia CLI walkthrough (covered in Academy course)
Copy of Part I - Installing and setting up the CLI and Magnolia (covered in Academy course)
Copy of Part II - Creating a light module (covered in Academy course)
Copy of Part III - Reusing a light module from npm (not covered but not useful for us - we don't include this topic)
Copy of Content app with non-JCR content - 5 UI (no need; not useful for us; old)
Copy of My first translation (not useful for us)
Copy of Hello Magnolia for front-end developers (covered in Academy course) and seems similar to Hello Magnolia

The rest of the topics we recommend keeping them in Documentation.
