 Description

In Repository inconsistency, describe how to run a consistency check for the whole repository and for a particular workspace. See Enforce repository consistency check on wiki and search Jackrabbit documentation how to configure the check for a workspace.

Document also a similar check/fix for Lucene indexes. The attributes can be found at http://wiki.apache.org/jackrabbit/Search.

Amended page at - http://docuauthor.magnolia-cms.com/support/troubleshooting/repository-inconsistency.html.

Notes

  • I wasn’t able to test this. When I add the parameters to the various files it seems to have no effect on the logs. From https://issues.onehippo.com/browse/REPO-126 it seems that I should be seeing messages even if there are no inconsistencies.
  • The Enforce repository consistency check article on the wiki says (directly after the Repository check section): "If you want to change that configuration in an already installed system you have to update all workspace.xml files in your repository folder!". I’m not sure what this means. It seems to imply that the only time there is any point in doing a repository check is on an uninstalled system (what is that?).
  • I left the original paragraph as is but added a heading. In my paragraphs I put the parameters to add etc in code blocks. This conflicts with the style of the original paragraph. Which is correct?
  • I added 2 sections: Consistency checks and fixes > Clusters and Recreate search indexes. The "cluster" info is from http://dev.day.com/content/kb/home/Crx/Troubleshooting/RepositoryInconsistency.html#Fixing_Inconsistencies_in_a_Cluster. Day also includes a section on Fixing inconsistencies quickly that suggests that you run the checks on a copy of the repository and describes how to do this.
