 Description

DAM documentation might be a bit outdated due to references to non-existing configuration (or moved) and missing pieces of information that might have come in with the new DAM API recently.

This was sparked by a question on the list/forum about restricting mime types for upload.

For example, the explanation for the allowedMimeTypePattern property on http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS/DAM+upload references

Regular expression to filter allowed files by their MIME type. For example, to allow only Excel files set the value to application.*(excel|xls) . To allow images only, set the value to image.*. For digital asset management, MIME types are configured in Configuration > /modules/dam/config/mediaTypes. For more information about the supported pattern, see Pattern. Optional.

/modules/dam/config/mediaTypes to be existent, but in 5.3.5 this path does not exist.

Instead, there is much more configuration in the assets app that is not mentioned anywhere what it does or doesn't do, guess these were recent changes altogether.
