Document how to disable PDF indexing in Lucene. See Ruben Reusser's post titled "problem starting up magnolia" on users list. This should go on wiki, a special case for startup. |

If I understand things correctly, this issue is addressed on the wiki at http://wiki.magnolia-cms.com/display/WIKI/Corrupted+Search+Index and seems to have been resolved (See Greg's comments Aug 2010). I added the following sentence to the "Symptoms" section - "Some user's have reported startup issues due to Lucene PDF indexing errors." |
