Hi jschulte,

Can I get your confirmation about the ticket requirement?

"Search by text" do you mean search for category or search for product? As the search function for product is still work.

Thanks,

Yen Lac

Base on the change from this ticket

https://jira.magnolia-cms.com/browse/ECOMMERCE-312

  • Show definitions at root only if there are more than 1
  • Show connections at root only if there are more than 1

So those child categories will not expand until the user clicks to open one by one. Now the fix for search by category only works for those categories that have already expanded.

When magento is not expanded, I type "g" in the search column, it couldn't go deeper to search.

But if I expand the child, until we see categories Gear, Collections, Training…, then I type “gear” in the search column, the search function works.

Hej yen.lactue

Ideally the search works no matter if you are in category selection of in a category itself for products and categories. The Search results can be displayed in list view.

Best regards

Jan
