Hi ldelnevo, ilgun

I have the following concerns/question regarding the UI of dialog

  1. Regarding the test connection functionality
  • Question: Can we change the UI for moving the test connection under actions area as below ?
  • Why: Just keep it simple (at least at the moment). The main reason is create new custom field for test connection like mockup might take a lot time than expected (not confident with new UI framework in 6.0)
  1. Regarding the edit/delete actions
  • Currently we have two kinds of configuration: one come from the yaml definition and the rest is JCR and both of them are showing on the configuration sub-app now.
    - Problems:
+ How can the users know about that?
+ Do we allow the users to modify (edit/delete) the yaml definition like Resources App?
    - Proposal:
+ Show warning message when user is trying to edit/delete the configuration from yaml definition. (Easiest way)
+ We add one more column (call "Resource Type") to display this kind of info (e.g: yaml, jcr) since then we will have the 2 scenarios as below
    1. Allow user to edit the yaml definition, There are several options as below
+ We will override the yaml file directly
+ Warning message and then Create a copy version in JCR like Resources App do (will be restored to the origin when deleting)
    2. Don't allow user to edit the yaml definition
+ Just add rules to disable the actions

Please feel free to add any comments and help me have a look when you guys have time.

Thanks,
Trung Luu

Thank you trung.luu. It's OK for point no.1 to simplify the UI so to keep it simpler at the moment as per your proposal. I have created a separate ticket, placed lower in the backlog, to review the New Proposed UI in the second phase of the project (enhancements) ECOMMERCE-94 // cc ilgun avongunten

We can discuss your second point with Ilgun and the rest of the team on Monday, so to better understand the issues you're facing and reach agreement on the way forward.

trung.luu ldelnevo  Simplification of UI makes sense too me. I would recommend to add icons to the button and popup as well as change the wording.

avongunten Thanks a lot for the comments. I have changed the wording. Unfortunately, there is no way to add icons to the button by default (we need to build the custom). So I suggest to leave it here and continue with that on ECOMMERCE-94 . What do you think? //cc ilgunldelnevo
