| Description |

If a class like "dog" was detected in an image, we might as well tag it with hypernyms like "canine" and "animal". The WordNet-based library extJWNL could be of use for this. However, this would assume the meaning ("synset") of a particular word is unique, or at least known. E.g. "pool" might refer to pocket billard as well as a swimming trench. For custom image recognition, this problem could be avoided by training and recognizing based on synsets rather than plain words (lemmas). |
