 Description

Banners

Change the title line for following banners

  • "Create live copy finished successfully." to > "Your live copy page has been created successfully."
  • "Push master content changes finished successfully." to > "Master content changes have been pushed successfully to your live copy pages."

Alerts

1) Make sure that:

  • text is not cut off in the alerts so the full messages are readable  This is on UI, we'll raise a ticket for UI work
  • the color of the alerts are always blue (because they are just simple confirmations, not critical warnings)
  • no grey curtains in the background (check but this might be UI)
  • only the title in form of a question is needed, not the descriptions avongunten can we check this ACs again? I'm unsure this is valid for all notifications with a question

2) Change the wordings for the following alerts

  • Do you want to reattach this node? Reattach page (button).
    • Change to >
    • Title: Enable updates
    • Description: Do you want to enable updates from your master page? Cancel / Enable
  • Disable updates from master
    • Change to >
    • Title: Disable updates
    • Description: Do you want to disable updates from your master page? Cancel / Disable
  • Do you want to push master content…
    • Change to >
    • Title: Push master content
    • Description: Do you want to push master content to your live copy pages? Cancel / Push
  • Rewire all page links that point to…
    • Change to >
    • Title: Relink all pages
    • Description: Do you want to relink all pages to live copy pages? Cancel / Relink

According to my research new UI dont use info.magnolia.ui.vaadin.dialog.ConfirmationDialog where we had confirmButton.setDisableOnClick(true). I was not able to reproduce executing action more than once by fast clicking.

On the other hand my opinion is that all these action confirm dialogs should be modal so user have to resolve it before he start to do anything else in system.
But this is question for UX ilgun avongunten

efochr Re dialogs: yes it should be modal (so background is not clickable, user is forced to click button in dialog) but we don't use the dark curtain in any other place within the UI, that's what i meant.

efochr ldelnevo   Re "only the title in form of a question is needed": This is meant for the specific questions for the live copy cases where the user just needs to confirm. I find it too overloaded with text when we have a question in the title and then repeat the question in the description again. Let's keep it simple.

For long titles: Default behaviour is to hide it by ellipsis. If we have this long title, we use description for it. Needs rewording of these dialogs. avongunten

avongunten dark curtain is caused by usage of new UI for modal dialogs. So if we want to remove it, this needs to by done in UI.

efochr ok gotcha  I'll change the wording and then let's not touch the dark curtain.

efochr I edited the wording – does that work better now?
