 Description

This can be seen in the Ikea Demonstration environment: http://ikea-author.magnolia-cms-demo.com/

To reproduce:

Publish all pages of all sites to start with all green indicators.

Modify banner subtitle of /home/bathroom.
Return to browser subapp and select "Push master changes".
Select all sites and choose "Push and publish".

Indicator lights will now show modifications to /home_de/bathroom and /home_de as well as /home_ch/bathroom and /home_ch, etc.

Closed as expected behaviour

Sorry, I'm afraid I did not explain my self very well.

If I edit a site that does not use Live Copy, then changing /page/subpage does not affect the publication status of /page. This can be seen in the travel demo.

Why does Live Copy mean a change to reference_site/page/subpage affects the status of reference_site/page?

Comment by Jesus Alonso [ 02/Sep/20 ]

Unfortunately Ikea site has been handled to Ikea and we cannot make any change there.

Anyway, I guess you executed "Push & Publish" from the /home node recursively, did you? If so, even although you have changed only /home/bathroom, the push command changes the links and assets that are not protected in the children, so probably this explains why you see other nodes yellow.

However, if you execute the push command only from the /home/bathroom, you'll see that only the bathroom nodes turn yellow.

Hi, jalonso
I understand what the recursive action does differently but my question relates to the parent nodes, not the children.

Comment by Oanh Thai Hoang [ 08/Jul/21 ]

That's look related to https://jira.magnolia-cms.com/browse/LIVECOPY-258 that has been working in sprint CM07. chuong.doan, do you think so

Comment by Chuong Doan Huy [ 08/Jul/21 ]

I don't think so oanh.thai, while in 258, push changes of parent node modified child nodes, in this ticket, look like push changes of child node modified parent nodes and so probably not related to "ordering subpages" like in 258. So i think this ticket worth investigate and fix separately.
