 Description

Components added to LC pages are moved to the bottom of the area stack following a master push.

  • Create a live copy.
  • In a live copy page add a new component to an area which already has components.
  • Reorder the new component.
  • Push changes from master.

What is observed is the new components added directly to the live copy page are reordered back to the bottom.

Investigate: Define the expect behavior for cases

Possibly related to PUBLISHING-82 where nodes are incorrectly order after publishing regardless of Live Copy use.

From what I can tell it has nothing to do with publishing. Its problem with the action and only in specific cases. IIRC the item must be in the middle of a few other components.

it works if the component added it at the top or the bottom, if it’s mixed in with the master components then it pushes to bottom.

An example would be a link list with a lot of links already from master. The /travel/about --> column 2 about midway down the page. Put a new link in the middle of those four.

Agree with rgange. Components can't be published one by one so hitting PUBLISHING-82 is not possible AFAIK. Unlinking to prevent confusion.
