 Description

When editing rich text with KUPU on OSX with firefox, control-chars are inserted that result in unwanted linebreaks when rendered. These extraneous chars are detectable in the XML in the repository.

Likely this has something to do with different line endings on OSX, windows and unix.

Kupu should not insert extra chars.

i've played around with this issue, to decide if we can dare giving kupu to MGU, who use Mac. What I found out:

  • the problem only happend to me by moving or copying a page. When copying, only the newly created page is affected, the original page remains normal.
  • it seems the additional line break is added after each 70 characters.

Win XP & IE --> "move page" und "copy page" seem to work ok.

Win XP & Firefox --> "move page" und "copy page" adds the stupid line breaks
