I think it makes sense to add a version whenever content is published, and in any case this is the default we have for now. The comments can provide a good description of what happened for a certain activated version, hence we should definitely store that info instead of throwing it away. For a case where versioning happens independently of activation, for instance when versioning happens on every save, we can still add a comment box to capture info, or we can ignore it safely (since as of today, the comments are not stored either). |
