 Description

1. New MagnoliaAuthor
2. Create sites and editor roles according to instructions at http://www.magnolia.info/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=SetupEditorRoleForASite
3. Log in as one of the newly created site editors
4. Create a new "editor" paragraph
5. Click the "Image" button
6. Click the "Upload' tab
7. Browse for an image. Click "Send it to the Server" button

Expected behavior: image is uploaded to /magnoliaAuthor/tmp/fckeditor/ and displays in the preview pane of the Image Properties window.

Actual behavior: image is uploaded, but the preview pane apparently doesn't have access to it, as the image is broken.

8. Click ok button to close Image Properties window.

Expected behavior: image should appear in FCK Editor

Actual behavior: we get another broken image here.

9. Click "Save" to close Magnolia Edit Dialog.
10. Once persisted to its permanent location, image displays on the page correctly. It will also display correctly if one reopens the editor window now.

Note: this problem does not occur with superuser or editor roles out of the box.

Sean,

This is indeed an issue of sorts. See MAGNOLIA-1162 for a clean solution in future releases.

In the meantime, you can just give your user/role the ACL readonly on website:/tmp . This is really a workaround since no such exists, but it just works

We've installed and are using the workaround without issue – thanks, GrĂ©gory! I also updated the wiki page to include this workaround.
