I also see the ClassCastException from a jsp you reported recently (which I fixed yesterday)... please make sure both your instances have that jsp properly updated.
Also, do you have any warning/error/stacktrace in the logs of your subscriber instance ?

Comment by zam6ak [ 10/Oct/07 ]

Yes - i have updated the JSP include for the template that had an issue.
And yes - the subscriber has issues as well:

ERROR org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[jboss.web].[localhost].[/magnoliaPublic].[default] 09.10.2007 09:07:23 – Servlet.service() for servlet default threw exception

It seems that there is a problem with file upload - perhaps latest "switch" to commons file upload from COS could be a culprit?

Comment by Magnolia International [ 10/Oct/07 ]

so this is only happening when activating nodes with attached files ? If so, please edit your report and link to the cos/upload issue ? thx

Comment by Magnolia International [ 10/Oct/07 ]

(also, if you updated the JSPs, any idea why you still get the exception ?)

I activated /features (including subpages) from the samples module - not sure if any of those pages have attached files or not

attached are now 2 separate error log files - one from author and one from public

Comment by zam6ak [ 10/Oct/07 ]

separate error files

Comment by Magnolia International [ 10/Oct/07 ]

Yeah, the sample pages were likely to have attached files too (header images, etc)
I'll test when I get a chance (i.e not today)

Amir, could you check if your problem was solved with MAGNOLIA-1790/r11974 ?
Thanks

Comment by zam6ak [ 26/Oct/07 ]

In order to test this MAGNOLIA-1797 has to be resolved first.

Comment by Will Hoover [ 29/Oct/07 ]

Not sure if this issue is related (MAGNOLIA-1797 , MAGNOLIA-1392)...

When attempting to view the inbox to "proceed" with publishing documents I get a NPE on the inbox workflow (see attached)

Using: openwfe-engine-1.7.2-longattributefixed.jar

Comment by Magnolia International [ 02/Nov/07 ]

fyi, openwfe 1.7.2.1-SNAPSHOT jars are available on our maven repository.

Will, I haven't been able to reproduce your problem, but you might want to look out for MAGNOLIA-1671, which should fix the MIMEMapping which seem to be related to the freemarker issue you had. (the inbox's template was trying to get an icon)

Comment by Magnolia International [ 03/Apr/08 ]

Amir, Will, as this been resolved for your cases ?

Comment by Jan Haderka [ 13/Oct/09 ]

Closing since issue is not reproducible anymore and reporter doesn't confirm re-occurrence of the issue either. Feel free to re-open if more details (like a fresh stacktrace) get available.
