 Description

We installed Magnolia 3.6.3 freshly, and when we create a new template/dialog/paragraph the new paragraph does not show up when we click the "New" bar in the Author instance. But when we upgrade to 3.6.3 from an existing Magnolia project, we are able to see the paragraph get rendered. Should we make any configuration changes when we install Magnolia 3.6.3 directly?

  • where do you register that new template/dialog/paragraph ?
  • is your template's new bar refering to that new paragraph ?
  • as usual... : anything in your logs ?

We registered for the new template under /modules/templating/templates, the dialog under /modules/templating/dialogs and the paragraph under /modules/templating/paragraphs.

The template's newBar refers to the new paragraph.

The log file does not contain any error messages.

What paragraph collections registers your paragraph? Is you paragraph added to some paragraph collection?

Comment by sampath [ 17/Oct/08 ]

The paragraph is directly added under /modules/templating/paragraphs.

The template's new bar has the following code.
<cms:newBar contentNodeCollectionName="mainColumnParagraphs" paragraph="${module.paragraphs.mainColumn},medichannelEventCreation"/>

With the above code, the medichannelEventCreation paragraph does not get displayed.

But if I change the above code to

<cms:newBar contentNodeCollectionName="mainColumnParagraphs" paragraph="medichannelEventCreation"/>

the dialog gets rendered directly when I click the "New" bar.

and in this case, what is ${module} referring to ??

Comment by sampath [ 17/Oct/08 ]

That refers to a set of paragraphs under /samples/config/paragraphCollections/mainColumn. Those paragraphs are displayed properly.

and how does the generated html of the newbar look like ?

Comment by sampath [ 17/Oct/08 ]

I have attached the screenshot of the html page and the source code of the rendered html.

Comment by Magnolia International [ 17/Oct/08 ]

I meant the rendered html of the newbar, i.e in the page where the "new paragraph" button is.

Comment by sampath [ 17/Oct/08 ]

I have attached the html of the page with New bar in it
