Currently Provider interface and its only implementation ProviderImpl class have an API to register custom node types, but not to unregister them. |

if you delete the type, it is not deregistered, so creating type with same name later again will fail |

Unfortunately, it seems this functionality itself is not currently implemented in JackRabbit ... see https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-322 for details. |

Attached patch extending the API and providing the implementation of the method, but untill related JR issue is fixed there is little point in applying the patch in Magnolia. |

Given the thousands of other issues we have open that are more highly requested, we won't be able to address this issue in the foreseeable future. Instead we will focus on issues with a higher impact, and more votes. |
