This issue happens from misunderstanding of fckEditor functionality. In Image Properties window tab Link don't provide URL for image which should be viewed but only as target for hyperlink created by actual image that has URL in Image Info tab and had to be typed manually including context path.
Fix for this issue only solves addresses entered without context path by adding it in moment of retrieving this information from fckeditor (i.e. after saving).

While reviewing the first fix, we realized that the change broke the normal link browser:

  • create a link, select a page, save
  • open the dialog again, select the link, edit
  • click browse server -> the page is not selected anymore

The problem is that till now we never added the context path in the HTML passed to the editor. We are going to change this to make image links work.

I upload the patch produced during the review session which not only fixes the issue but enabled the "browser server" button for images.
